KMISE Banjolele Brings Back The Sound Of The 20s

Updated: Jan 17

The sound of a banjolele makes me think of the 1920s and 30s. After all, that was in many respects the heyday of this instrument. It was invented in 1917 as a way to help amplify the popular ukulele and give performers greater reach to their audience.

If you know how to play a ukulele, then you know how to play a banjolele or banjo uke, as they are essentially a ukulele with a banjo drum.

See my review of the KMISE banjolele below:

The one thing that really surprised me is how little sustain there is on the strings, but I guess that is a part of the banjo sound. It just tends to be somewhat muted.

If you want this banjolele to be louder, you can remove the back and it will give it a bit more kick.

The KMISE banjolele is available on Amazon or at the KMISE website: kmise.com
